Denim Shirts
A denim shirt is a way to incorporate denim into your outfit without having to pull on jeans. Denim shirts have made a triumphant return in 2012, with many famous celebrities stepping out in this casual look. There are many different ways to wear a denim shirt, but to wear it the “right” way you have to consider the rest of your outfit. A fitted denim shirt looks great in a variety of rinses and can be tucked in to create a more tailored look. An over-sized denim shirt looks best in a dark rinse and can be left unbuttoned over a plain tank top or t-shirt. Over-sized denim tops are best paired with skinny pants or leggings, so that the all-over effect is not too baggy. The most important rule to remember when you are wearing a denim shirt is to not wear jeans, even if they are different washes. This look is denim overkill and to be avoided. Great places to look for the perfect denim shirt include Lands’ End and The Gap. Denim shirts are available at all price points, but if you look around you should be able to score a decent top for $30-$50 dollars. Remember to only invest in a denim shirt if you think you will wear it; otherwise it is a poor purchase. If you are always wearing jeans skip purchasing a denim top so you don’t run into a fashion disaster.
